Innovative Community Health Institute, LLC (also known as Saline Medical Specialties) is looking to add a new team member to our team! We have an immediate position as a receptionist.

MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Medical receptionists are professional are responsible for coordinating the daily administration of doctors, staff, visitors, and patients at a healthcare facility. They schedule appointments, answer patient inquiries, handle patient emergencies, and monitor stock and supplies at the healthcare facility.

QUALIFICATIONS:

CERTIFICATES, LICENSURE, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Must have a High School Diploma/ GED and must be at least 18 years of age
  • English and Spanish is a must

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES FOR THE CMA:

  • Ability to work with clinic and electronic medical record (EMR) programs in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ability to work at a level to provide incredible healthcare for each patient seen.
  • Ability to help clinic meet requirements for reimbursement.
  • Excellent staff training and customer service skills.
  • Outstanding knowledge of nursing and medical terminology.
  • Compassionate and friendly demeanor
  • Understanding of confidentiality obligations

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greets patients in the facilities and over the phone
  • Assists doctors, nurses, and patients
  • Schedules doctors’ appointments for patients (Create patient accounts)
  • Performs clerical and administrative tasks
  • Prepares medical files
  • Maintains and keeps patient information confidential
  • Know and Verify medical insurances
  • Able to communicate effectively with patients and other staff members
  • Organize exam rooms, including general cleaning, upkeep, and re-stocking of supplies.

Experience:

  • Receptionist experience (1 year min.)

Benefits Offered:

Shift Type:

  • Day Shift (Monday thru Friday, 8am-5pm, One late clinic every other week (8am-7pm)
  • Every third Saturday (9am-12pm)

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour (depending on experience)
